In the Wireless World of 2072, Magic and Technology meet in the shadows beneath the oppressive Megacorporate Enclaves of the 'Big 10'.
Elves, Orks, Dwarves, and Trolls now walk amongst Human men and women in this new Sixth World, as Dragons and VTOL's dot the skies of the Urban Sprawl overhead.

Shadowrunners do the dirty business no one else will handle.

Street Samurai -- whose bodies are augmented to superhuman capacity by cyberware -- run cover & infiltration ops with the help of magically-enhanced Adepts; while Hackers manipulate the virtual reality of the Matrix 3.0 that overlays our own geography. Magicians cast powerful spells and manipulate spirits called forth from the astral plane; and Riggers blur the line between man-and-machine, essentially becoming the drones that they pilot. It is rumored that others are emerging as well; persons with extraordinary abilities -- some even able to manipulate the digital world without the use of computers at all -- and those seemingly born of the beasts of myth and legend itself.

Joyboys and Pushers turn tricks and peddle designer drugs on the corner; where at their feet in the gutters waste BTL-addicted Beetleheads -- trapped in synthetic fantasy. Nomadic roving bands of Go-Gangers wage bloody battles for turf or reputation as the Lone Star Security Corporation -- who hold the CityState of Seattle's policing contract -- strives to keep the registered population of SINners safe; while organ-legging Ghouls prey on the weak and naive.

This is Shadowrun.

9. 20 Questions Should be Answered. Full Stories are Encouraged and Rewarded.

And Why There Are No Metavarients Without Them...
1. The SR:SOP world will be persistent, so your character cannot be in more than one place at a time -- and may not survive a job at all.
2. Some jobs/team-ups may be incompatible with your character's morality, requiring a replacement from your pool to join the fray at the meeting proper.
3. Careers will be forged, Prime Runners will retire, and comrades will die. The more options available to the player, the better equipped they are to play.
4. You are playing Shadowrun, a cyber-fantasy world of Orks, Dwarves, Trolls, Elves, and Humans. Others are mostly unseen. The 3+ Rule reflects that.
5. Get HMHVV, the sheet goes to me! Drakes are a mistake! No Sapients as compatriots save Shifters as drifters! Disappear it, Spirit! Purge the SURGE!
6. SR4M creation guidelines enables all core SR4 sourcebooks -- while disabling the disruptive rulesets. SR:SOP rules re-enable valuable RP elements.
7. SR:Missions is the canon storyline, and -- with the exception of some Qualities/Drawbacks -- your character will be cross-compatible for SR:M play.
8. Multiple GM's will be running games within the SR:SOP world; so players have a standard to keep to avoid over-powering or off-balanced gameplay.
9. Because it's Shadowrun and you know that you want to play... So Game On, Chummer!!!
